A fascinating residential property located on the outskirts of Cambridge wanted to maximise the amount of light coming in. The project aimed to create a modern living space that combined beautiful natural wooden features with more contemporary elements. A key feature of the design was the incorporation of slimline glazing throughout the property, complemented by wooden cladding externally. The frames needed to be hidden into the walls to add to the contemporary feel.
The client had a vision to flood the interior with natural light, creating an open, airy atmosphere. To achieve this, we recommended slimline aluminium windows frames that allow sunlight to pour in unimpeded.
The slender profiles maximise views while maintaining a refined, modern aesthetic. By leveraging floor-to-ceiling glazing and thoughtful window placement, we transformed the space into a sun-drenched oasis immersed in the surrounding landscape. The results are breathtaking – a light-filled haven that seamlessly connects indoors and out.
Multiple Cortizo Vision Plus sliding doors were installed to meet the specific requirements of minimal sightlines and hidden frames that our client wanted. A large front door with smartphone operation was installed into a curtain wall screen. We achieved this by implementing a fully bonded Cortizo Millennium plus 70 with electronic locking. This proved effective as it can facilitate this key feature, yet also features contemporary aesthetics.
